2. Our Hotel Recommendations in each spot 😃

11. Santiago de Compostela. Hotel Pazo de Altamira is a lovely, modern hotel within a gorgeous old Galician stone building. And it’s right opposite the fabulous market! http://bit.ly/2HDJwL2

10. Jerez de la Frontera. Definitely try and stay at the famous Hotel Casa Grande - a big old mansion with a gorgeous rooftop terrace for drinks - http://bit.ly/30K5HXr

9. Vera Valley. I would suggest staying in the village Valverde de la Vera and my pick is the cosy and rustic La Picota: http://bit.ly/2VMT7D3

8. Cadaqués. I love Tramantua Hotel, a white-washed gem run by a husband and wife team… service is fantastic, and it’s right in the old city, plus near the beach: http://bit.ly/2JCPpdP

7. Cáceres. We stayed at the budget but good Hotel Iberia Plaza Mayor with views of the square): http://bit.ly/2K4CuAv. If you want to stay IN the old city though, the Parador here is a 14th century palace - the full Caceres medieval dream! http://bit.ly/2HUT3w8

6. Oviedo. Prices in Northern Spain are often cheaper, so you can happily get a great hotel here without spending a lot. Check out the excellent Barceló Oviedo Cervantes: http://bit.ly/2YPLXQA

5. Zahara de los Atunes. Either go with Hotel Avenida Playa (simple, clean, and right off the beach - http://bit.ly/2W1z60u) or the slightly more chic Hotel Doña Lola - http://bit.ly/2VWA89q

4. Las Alpujarras. Casa Rural la Fragua is a gorgeous little tucked away whitewashed apartment in Capileira (either stay here or in Pampaneira). This place is perfect for exploring the villages around the area. http://bit.ly/2QqUUgg

3. El Rocío. I love Hotel La Malvasía with its old-world luxury, the fact it’s only 5-minutes walk from the famous Santa María del Rocío church and they also have a terrace which is perfect for sunsets. http://bit.ly/2YNXkbA

2. Mejorada del Campo.
Bus info: https://www.madridbuses.com... (take the bus from Conde de Casal). Don’t spend the night there. It’s a day trip. But my favourite Madrid hotels are below (in descending price order):

Pestana Plaza Mayor (right on Plaza Mayor and with a pool) - http://bit.ly/30HN725
Gran Hotel Inglés - http://bit.ly/2HD8REI
The Pavilions - http://bit.ly/2VSsFIi
Vincci The Mint - http://bit.ly/2Xam51o
7 Islas - http://bit.ly/2QuDGi0

1. Cádiz. Right in the old town, I love the wonderful Hotel Boutique Convento Cádiz, housed in a renovated 17th century monastery: http://bit.ly/2VSszjU
